CHAD COOMBS
A multidisciplinary practice exploring recognition, relationship, and the ways images shape human experience.
Chad Coombs is a Saskatoon-based multidisciplinary artist working across photography, collage, and painting. Using primarily analog processes, his practice explores how relationships form between people, landscapes, materials, and perception.
Rather than treating images as documents, Coombs approaches photography and image-making as encounters, creating works that invite recognition, reflection, and emotional presence without prescribing fixed meaning. His practice is grounded in sustained observation, material process, and the belief that the strongest images are discovered through relationship rather than constructed through explanation.
